Exercises to Lose Weight Quickly

Everyone is looking for exercises to lose weight quickly. Because we now all have busy lives and time is a premium, we need to find a exercise routine that gets results fast.

Basically, the type of exercise you can do falls into 2 different sets which are aerobic and anaerobic. The aerobic type of exercise will allow you to burn the fat calories in the body while exercising.

Anaerobic exercise helps you to lose weight as it strengthens your natural muscle. This in turn will help to speed up your body metabolism enabling your body to burn calories faster when you are resting. The reason for this is that muscle will burn more calories than fat.

This does not mean to say you need to start body building, just add a little more muscle tone to the body and lose more of the fat.

And we all know that muscle weighs more than fat but in turn, you will be slimmer and healthier and as time goes by, the weight caused by fat will come off and stay off. So you will end up losing weight.


Exercises to lose weight quickly include:

Squats. This exercise will reduce fat and develop more tone at the top of your legs. Best performed in front of a mirror, place your feet at shoulder width apart while facing the mirror and squat down to sitting position and back up again. Do this 10 – 20 times and repeat for 3 sets (1 set is 10 – 20 times). If it becomes easy, perform the squats with light dumbbells in each hand. If you feel any pain in your knees, try not to squat so low.

Pushups. A good form of anaerobic training because while doing pushups, your arms support 2 thirds of your body weight. You know how to do them! Go ahead and do 2- 3 sets of 20. This will increase the muscle tone in your arms and reduce the fat in the arms as well.

Jumping Jacks. A good aerobic exercise for the complete body. Try and do 4 sets of 20 to start with and increase as you get fitter.

Walking fast or speed walking. If you’re looking for exercises to lose weight quickly, this one is effective. Don’t start off by walking at full speed, work up to it like a warm up. Once you are walking as fast as you can, try and stay at the pace as long as you can. Try to find a park, cycle lane or any area that is away from sidewalks and roads so you can have fewer interruptions.

Stair walking. If you can find a big flight of stairs, try going up and down as many times as possible. You do not need to go up and down fast. This is another one of those exercises to lose weight quickly and it works.

You must try to do some or all of these exercise to lose weight quickly 2 – 3 times a week, or at least on a regular basis.
